Today’s Sunday cocktail is a perfect brunch cocktail. People seem to be down on brunch these days, and I can’t really understand why. We spend our weekdays running around, somehow finding time to do the things we have to do and trying to squeeze in time for the things we want to do. In that constant weekend push and pull of wanting to finally relax and do nothing, needing to do errands, and wanting to do fun activities and spend time with friends and families, along with leisurely brunch can feel like a luxury. But I think it’s a luxury we should grab onto and enjoy. So if the opportunity presents itself, or even if it doesn’t, spend some quality time with those closest to you and just relax. And eat. And of course, drink a brunch cocktail. Because drinking before noon is encouraged if it’s with brunch. And if you’re tired of bloody marys and mimosas, this espresso-based cocktail is a perfect alternative. You get a dose of caffeine and it also tastes kind of like a milkshake. What’s not to like, right? So let yourself have a leisurely late morning, make some pancakes, and enjoy.
