This apple cider and rye cocktail was the first to disappear at our recent holiday party. Likely because it’s seasonally appropriate and goes down very easily! It’s also easy to make with ingredients you are likely to have at home between Thanksgiving and New Year’s. I used Rittenhouse Rye in my drink, but you could use any rye, bourbon, or whiskey and you’ll still love it. I’ve included the recipe to make two cocktails, but it’s easy to scale up.
Apple cider and rye cocktail
prep time total time
1 min
Makes: 2 cocktails
Ingredients
- 8 ounces apple cider
- 3 ounces rye
- squeeze of lemon
- pinch of cinnamon
Directions
Add apple cider, rye, lemon, and cinnamon to a cocktail shaker over ice. Shake well and strain into two glasses. Enjoy!
Notes
This is easy to scale up and turn into a pitcher cocktail. Just stir all ingredients instead of shaking and add cinnamon sticks and lemon slices to garnish.
