We recently tried out the Skoshbox subscription box. This is what we received in our February box:
Skoshbox is a monthly subscription box with snacks and candy sent from Japan (via Hawaii). It’s only $12 a month so I thought it’d be worth it to try new snacks. We received Senbei Mix (a ‘pub mix’ of nuts, senbei, & shrimp crackers), Aero Chocolate (a Japanese version of the British chocolate), Konbu Ume Jelly (a kelp and ume flavored jelly candy), Fruit Candies, Kinokono Yama (biscuits covered in strawberry), Ume Cha (a stick of pickled plum tea), Vanilla Roll Cake, Strawberry Senbei (crispy rice crackers with a strawberry drizzle), and Milk Mint Candy (cool mint hard candy between milky candies).
- The good: all the snacks except the Senbei Mix and the Aero Chocolate were new to me.
- The bad: The Senbei Mix, Aero Chocolate, and the hard Fruit Candies were the only snacks I’d like to have again.
Was it worth it? It was a fun treat and I think it would be a fun gift to buy someone who likes snacks and candy from Japan. But I’m not inclined to continue my subscription.
