You guys. This nutella mousse is kind of amazeballs. I love it. And you will too.
I’m guessing many of you are probably feeling exhausted from all the shopping, wrapping, traveling, and baking you’ve been doing. And you could probably use a little treat. And I bet it’d be even better if it only took 5 minutes to pull together and tasted decadently amazing too. Well, you are in luck. Let me introduce you to nutella mousse.
I know, I JUST posted a nutella recipe. But I just love it so! And I know, chocolate mousse makes you think of the 80’s. But this is no ordinary mousse. This is a nutella mousse. And not only that, this is a nutella mousse that uses only two ingredients. Just whip some nutella, add heavy cream, whip some more, then let sit in the fridge for a few hours. And that’s really it. I was unsure how this was going to turn out. I really didn’t think something that didn’t use eggs could combine to create something that is so mousse-like. But it really truly does. This dessert somehow manages to taste both light and rich, and it’s also one of the easiest things I’ve ever made. That makes it perfect to make just to treat yourself but also makes it fancy and delicious enough to serve to guests, especially with a dollop of whipped cream and some crushed hazelnuts or Ferrero Rocher on top. Mmmmmm.
For those who celebrate, I hope you have a wonderful holiday with those you love. Eat, drink, and be merry and I’ll be back next week with more treats.
